MANILA, August 26, 2010—Novaliches Bishop Antonio Tobias has ordained Jose Eliseo B. Buenviaje a deacon at the Good Shepherd Cathedral in Fairview, Quezon City last August 19, 2010.
Buenviaje is one of the seminarian-scholars of KC Fr. George J. Willmann Charities, Inc., which sponsors seminarians who are on the last four years of their priestly formation.
“At an early age of six, he started to be attracted to the vocation of priesthood when he became the youngest altar server in their Parish in Novaliches assisting their Parish Priest in all of the latter’s liturgical services and speaking engagements,” said a staff of Willmann Charities.
In 1987, Buenviaje entered the Our Lady of Guadalupe Minor Seminary. He then continued his studies at the San Carlos Seminary until 1993 when he had to leave for his regency.
Buenviaje enrolled at Sta. Isabel College for a Bachelor’s Degree in Music while he served at the San Roque Parish in Pateros.
Upon completion of his Degree in Music, Buenviaje then did apostolate at the Ina ng Buhay Parish while pursuing a Degree in Philosophy at Letran College.
He completed his Philosophy Degree at the Christ the King Seminary and was admitted for formation at the St. Joseph Formation House.
At present, Buenviaje is enrolled as a fourth year Theology student at Maryhill School of Theology in Quezon City. (KC Life News)
